The selection of the right therapeutic boarding school is a monumental one.
We understand this and want to help support your entire family throughout the process as much as possible. We consider it imperative that you and your daughter work together to make the right choice. By enlisting her participation in choosing Greenbrier Academy for Girls, she becomes invested in her own success.
Through her commitment to attend, she will gain the therapeutic and life skills she needs to not only become a healthy and happy young woman, but to also prepare for the realities of college and independent living.
Step One – Contact us
Once you have reviewed the website and our information, and perhaps reviewed our school with your educational consultant, the first step towards admissions is a phone call or an email. Our admissions team will be able to answer your questions, listen to your concerns and walk you through your options. We can be reached toll free at 877-788-8422 or by email at email@example.com.
Step Two – A visit
While a visit is not necessary to enrollment, we do highly recommend you come for a campus tour and a chance to meet with school staff and our student body. We welcome professionals, parents, and/or potential students to come and experience all we have to offer at our school. We encourage visitors to sit down one-on-one with our students and ask them questions or let them take you on a tour.
Step Three – Fill out an application and gather necessary records
The formal admissions process begins once you fill out the convenient online Student Application. Please know, the admissions team is here to help you in every way possible. If you have questions or need help with the application, we are happy to assist you. In addition to the online application, you will also need to gather various records for our admissions counselor to review with you and the treatment teams. Below is a checklist of all the items you will need:
- Online Student Application
- All previous testing/medical records
- All previous diagnostic testing
- All previous academic records
- All previous treatment notes
Step Four – Enrollment
When a favorable placement decision has been made, the admissions team will schedule an enrollment date and sign an Enrollment Agreement with the family. We primarily enroll students Monday through Thursday, but other arrangements can be made if necessary. Our Dress Code provides a list of appropriate items/clothing, as well as prohibited items.
Greenbrier Academy’s current tuition is $269.59/day, which is about $8,200 per month. This includes room, board, books, personalized education, regular school activities and transportation, individual and group therapy, and family programs. Payment may be made through checks, wire transfers, and credit cards (Visa, Master Card, and Discover – these include an additional processing fee).
Additionally, parents may enroll their daughter in The School of Horsemanship, a comprehensive equine program including: dressage, jumping, western style and participation in regional competitions. It is available for $500 per month or a per diem of $16.44. Please note that there are a limited number of spaces available in the School of Horsemanship.
Parents contribute to a Student Account for optional services and approved personal purchases, such as home visits/travel costs, medicine and refills, specialized medical services, and personal hygiene products.
Greenbrier Academy provides itemized CPT coded statements to assist families in obtaining insurance reimbursement. Though we do not bill insurance companies directly, we are happy to assist in the process.
Student loans are an option for parents considering a private education for their children. Financing your daughter’s education with a student loan can allow you to make low monthly payments over a period of time. We have worked with the company listed below and can recommend them if you are interested in exploring student loan options.
