At Greenbrier Academy for Girls, we hold a number of different values and ideals that we strive to pass on to our students. Two of the most important things that we are concerned with is ensuring all of our students both grow as individuals and learn how to become a member of and contribute to a larger community. While these two goals may in some ways seem in opposition with each other, that’s not the case at all.
We firmly believe that becoming a productive member of society that can make communities a better place is something every person should strive for. Through our programs, classes, and extracurricular activities, we hope to pass on this notion to our students by showing them how they can make a difference in the world. However, in order to serve the greater good, it is important to first understand what makes each person unique and special.
If everyone was the same, they would offer nothing special or different from anyone else. Growing as an individual and learning one’s own strengths, weaknesses, interests, and more are all a part of what we try to accomplish here. Being your own self is important, because some of the best ideas and contributions have come from single individuals who are working together for common goals.
We hope each of our students can really discover and explore what makes them unique and special, and use that information to become an asset to society. If you would like to learn more about what Greenbrier Academy is all about, please contact us today!
