Greenbrier Academy for Girls is the manifestation of a vision, not an investment.

Back in 1981, I co-developed the SUWS Adolescent Program; the maiden program which launched the wilderness therapy industry. Since that time, I have devoted my life to developing therapeutic programs that heal emotional disorders and create resilience in adolescents. This long-term quest for a “better way” resulted in the creation of Greenbrier’s therapeutic model, Applied Relationality.

I have been driven by a singular thought for the last 40 years: “How can we better serve the families and students that put their trust in us?” With over 10,000 graduates from my residential programs, this has been my life’s mission.

Greenbrier Academy is the culmination of that mission.

We are more than just a therapeutic boarding school for girls. We are a close community designed to support deep identity change. We are equipped with all the necessary tools and interventions to make that deep identity work happen. We are staffed with professionals who, like myself, have devoted their lives to helping your daughters discover their true, healthy identities and beliefs.

As the father of 4 daughters, I feel a tremendous amount of compassion and empathy for the families that we serve. If you are reading this, you are likely seeking placement for your daughter during a rough period. Know that Greenbrier is here to help.

I hope you take the time to learn more about our wonderful program and wish you the best in your search.
